Following the monograph, the catalogue raisonné of the paintings of Alfred Lombard offers to collectors and lovers of this provencal painter a book of reference. A long referencing effort devoted to the life and work of the artist has been leaded by Giulia Pentcheff and the book finally highlights the original journey of the artist, from the fauvism to wall painting. Major figure of modernity in Provence, the painter tries to bring a new cultural dynamic to Marseilles at the beginning of 20th century, guided by an uncommon ideal, not only connected with a single artistic movement.
